DAY 1:
Arrive in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. A colourful city with a soul, Thailand is your unique South Asian experience. Strange food, bright streets, and lots of shopping, is something you can expect here.
DAY 2:
Bangkok is a paradise. The beaches are white, while the ocean is a beautiful shade of azure. With lovely palm trees dotting the landscape, it is little wonder that Bangkok attracts tourists all the year round.
DAY 3:
From Bangkok, it is time to fly to Paro, the only airport in Bhutan. India's smallest neighbour is a unique country, with resilient people, who have fought off multiple invasions over time by various other rulers to maintain their own cultural identity. From Paro, drive through the picturesque Bhutanese landscape to reach Thimphu.
DAY 4:
The capital of Bhutan, is an idyllic city, surrounded by mountains and valleys.A fine balance between the traditional and the modern, Thimphu is an accurate representation of the Bhutanese culture and way of life.
DAY 5:
From Thimphu, carry on to Paro.A historic town, with many sacred sites and historical buildings scattered through the area.The monasteries and temples here boast of fine architecture. The monasteries provide an insight into the flourishing Buddhism here.
DAY 6:
Hike up to the famous Tiger's Nest Monastery.A prominent Himalayan Buddhist sacred site, it is located on a cliffside, which makes it look very beautiful.There are many fascinating legends and stories about this monastery.
DAY 7:
From Paro, travel to Nepal. Landing in its capital Kathmandu, you quickly see why this Himalayan hamlet is preferred amongst travellers. Kathmandu is a modern city, with a great nightlife. Explore the city and be surprised!
DAY 8:
Discover Kathmandu. Take a walk down its streets, and visit the colourful markets, that sell indigenous goods. The mountain air is fresh, pollution free, and invigorates your senses as you explore this wonderful city.
DAY 9:
From Kathmandu, fly to Lhasa. Tibet, is a Buddhist country, and the people's reverence towards the religion is apparent. Home to many significant Buddhist monuments, it helps you get in touch with your spiritual side.
DAY 10 & 11:
Explore Lhasa's rich cultural history. Learn about the monasteries, and the legends behind them. Interact with the local population, and imbibe a little of their culture. This will make the experience all the more memorable.
DAY 12
Experience royalty, in the Potala Palace and Monasteries. The erstwhile residence the Dalai Lama, this place is rich in religious history. Learn the legend of the palace. Potala is a wonderful place, which will make you feel at home.
DAY 13
As the trip comes to an end, its is time to get organized, and catch the flight back home.
